Run by writer and food critic Tracy and her artist husband Martin, South House set in the pretty little village of Piddletrenthide. Offering b and b and full board facilities in a homely environment. Set in the heart of Hardy country, this stunning 200 year old house offers the much needed rest and quiet with a mix of inspirational air that everyone often needs. With desks in every room, lovely comfy lounge with open fire, large homely kitchen with aga, artists studio space, 2 acres of grounds with a river running through them, just a few miles from Hardy's house Max Gate and T E Lawrence's cottage Clouds Hill, beautiful country walks and Chesil Beach 30 minutes away, where could offer a more perfect retreat? Full board with good home made food, Breakfast, lunch and Dinner with a glass or two of wine! Also workshops and one to one writing tuition are offered as extras.
