For many hundreds of years, almost every town & village in Derbyshire had its own pudding or cake recipe & these would be made on special occasions such as Easter, Christmas & for the Wells Dressings celebrations.
The old recipes were often quite basic & would use produce that could be bought on the doorstep or grown in the garden.
The Buxton Pudding Recipe has now been given a new lease of life using first quality ingredients whilst remaining true to the original of a couple of hundreds years ago.
A Seasonal Festive version is now also available which is a fantastic alternative to Christmas Pudding.
