General information

We're a voluntary run bicycle collective hosted by a fabulous bunch of professional and home taught mechanics of all genders and walks of life. We are passionate about running low impact community projects that bring out the beauty of sharing skills, politicising personal developments and empowering people with knowledge.

We will teach you bicycle maintenance at your pace and as your needs require. We rely on donations to keep the space open to the community and charge as little as we can for parts. All the money goes back into the space so that all the community can make use of the workshop.

We have new and used parts to refurbish your bike or a monster collection of bikes in our yard if you're looking for a bigger project.

We sell refurbished second hand bikes, usually ranging in price from £50 to £150. We also accept donated bikes and parts that we reuse where possible and recycle otherwise.

Be patient with us and yourself! Please allow plenty of time for your visit, the road in learning can be steep but will be very rewarding. Space is limited and sometimes volunteer numbers differ. Please show up early if you have a lot of work to do and if you need more support at the beginning. There are plenty of books, online resources and people around who will be happy to lend a helping hand if you need more help.

We are always on the look out for more mechanics, whatever your knowledge to spend time with us helping out. Don't be afraid - we all started with nothing and you can learn on the job with one of our team.
