General information

This is the official Facebook page of The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment (PWRR). Known as the 'Tigers', the Regiment has been in every theatre of operations since the Second World War. The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment is the senior English Regiment and has the distinction of holding the oldest battle honour in the British Army 'Tangier 1662 - 80'. Most recently the Battalions of the Regiment were deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan where many officers and soldiers distinguished themselves including the award of the VC to Pte Johnson Beharry.

The Tigers are made up of 3 Battalions:

1 PWRR, (@1PWRR) the Regiments Armoured Infantry Battalion, currently based in Paderborn, Germany

2 PWRR, (@2PWRRtheTigers) the Regiment’s light role Battalion

3 PWRR, (@3rdPWRR) the Regiment’s Reserve Battalion who are trained to deploy and support the Regular Army anywhere around the world.

Uniquely, the regiment maintains a link with the Royal House of Denmark where Queen Margrethe II of Denmark is the Colonel in Chief.

The Regiment also maintains an internationally renowned parachute display team that can be found jumping into many military shows around the country and overseas.
