General information

After training at the White rose school of beauty and complementary therapies in Huddersfield and gaining excellent experience at some of the top spas, including working for Virgin and the Hilton group, and providing my clients with top of the range beauty therapies, my dream of creating a relaxing sanctuary, and providing some of the best treatments in the industry came true when I decided to branch out alone in 2003.
Initially setting out as a mobile therapist and renting a room in a sport centre while my client list grew, I then opened a small salon in 2006. Always wanting to expand and grow, in 2009 my small beauty salon soon became the thriving hair and beauty business it is today. Now firmly established on Huddersfield Road in Barnsley South Yorkshire, gems continues to grow with thanks and appreciation to our clients.
When we moved to Huddersfield road in 2009, I vowed that I would always appreciate my clients because if wasn’t for them then I would never of had the opportunity to let gems grow and flourish like it has. I hoped that everyone would leave, not only feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, but that they would feel as though they were thought of as a friend & valued.
With years of dedication, and treatments performed to highest of standards Gems has built a reputation over the years, by our total confidentiality, commitment, professionalism and friendliness.
