Lexden Springs is an inclusive, vibrant Learning Community offering high quality education and care for all. We aim to create and maximise opportunities and empower individuals to fulfil their potential to be valued and confident members of society.
The ways in which we achieve this are by:
•Providing a safe, caring and supportive ethos and environment where pupils’ and students’ personal, social and health needs are fully recognised and met
•Helping and encouraging the pupils and students to adopt safe practices and healthy lifestyles
•Ensuring that all pupils and students, regardless of special educational need, gender and ethnicity are fully included in all appropriate learning opportunities
•Enriching the total experience of each pupil by providing opportunities which will encourage maximum individual growth in their knowledge and understanding and in the acquisition of key skills needed to achieve economic well-being
•Developing the abilities of each pupil and student so that all can make a positive contribution to the school and to the wider community and by promoting respect, self-reliance and independence in an enjoyable and stimulating environment
•Extending partnerships with parents and carers in order to maximise the full range of opportunities which the school provides
•Working closely with Essex special schools, local mainstream schools, local post 16 providers, our link school in Bethlehem and strengthening the school’s links with the national and global community
•Providing a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum, including the National Curriculum, which fully reflects the individual needs of all the pupils and students so that all can enjoy their education and achieve their potential
