The level Best Social Enterprise was etablished in 2006 to develop as a not-for-profit community business to provide us with a realistic work skills training centre.

In March 2008 our Level Best ArtCafe opened in Colchester town centre.

The business provides art and cafe services to local people and visitors to Colchester.

Cafe:

Our training cafe, open Monday to Friday 9:30am to 3:30pm, offers a selection of quality hot and cold snacks and drinks. We specialise in creating delicious home cooking at affordable prices.

Gallery:

The Cafe gallery regularly features work by us and local artists. The Gallery is open daily from 9:30am - 3:30pm

Seasonal Fayre:

We make and sell greetings cards, jams, marmalades as well as other items. We also stock a selection of jewellery made by local crafspeople.

Horticulture:

We work closely with Castle Park Rangers in a host of different activities to help maintain and keep Castle Park special.

Level Best provides opportunities for transition year school pupils and adults with learning disabilities to gain genuine work experience in a safe and supportive town centre business. The Cafe and Art Media services gives trainees experience of customer care skills. The Horticulture training services work closely with Colchester Borough Council Park Rangers.

Level Best is not just about work training, it is also about life skills, inclusion and community participation.
