Hollywood has an outstanding reputation for the quality and standard of tuition, choreography and most importantly the dedicated care and nurturing of boys and girls with a love of dance from 18 months - 18 years!
Qualified teaching professionals, with a wide range of dance experience help bring inspiration and enjoyment to all students at Hollywood.
Principal Janne Carrington established Hollywood Dance Academy in 1982 after fulfilling a highly successful, global career in dance.
Her career started in ballet with The London Festival Ballet, Vienna State Ballet and then moved on into musical theatre appearing in musicals, television shows, galas, circus, pantomimes throughout the world all too numerous to mention. During her professional career Janne Carrington won several awards for choreography and directing.
Alongside running the popular Hollywood Dance Academy, Janne Carrington also finds time to fulfil a role as a mentor for students studying the RAD CBTS Teaching Studies, and is a tutor for the ISTD FDI & CDE teaching courses.
Janne Carrington also takes great pride and delight in examining student teachers for the RAD CBTS course as well as representing the Dorset region on the Regional Advisory Committee for the Royal Academy.
Whether your son or daughter is looking to progress through examinations, pursue an education or a career in dance, perform in the bi-annual school shows & professional performances or just enjoy dance as an addition to their hobbies and interests, Hollywood has a place for them.
