General information

Hortus Loci is located on a 15 acre site near Hook in Hampshire, between the M3 and M4 (the ideal location for a horticultural business) and near enough to London to make visiting easy for designers from both London and abroad (via Heathrow).

The concept is unique because very few places in the UK, if any, offer this range of quality plants and products at a single site – most nurseries and high quality growers specialise in one or two types of plants – roses or topiary or acers, and whilst they do this well, if a designer or landscaper wants to view and source all the plants for a particular job, they are obliged to visit a multitude of different suppliers which is time consuming and often impractical.

Stock is supplied by a select group of partner nurseries on a sale or return basis, with the growers topping up or replacing stock as necessary. We only have agreements with the leading growers in each plant category. These partnerships are a function of the reputations and long standing relationships built up by Robin Wallis and Mark Straver over a lifetime in the plant business.
