General information
Orchard Workshop was founded by Janet Parsons, who is also our co-ordinator. It has evolved over the years since Janet first set up the charity in 1988. Originally the name of the charity was Girls Workshop, reflecting the work done with girls and women. Now Orchard Workshop offers people of all abilities and ages the opportunity to develop their creativity and skills in practical crafts.
Our courses are led by local professional artists and tutors, skilled in woodwork, jewellery and silversmithing, stained glass, pottery, woodturning, enamelling, metalwork, drawing and painting. We also have specialist tutors in literacy and numeracy.
