In fact, it was after hearing again and again that this was one of the biggest compromises you face when practicing yoga, that encouraged us to finally develop and explore new ways of drastically improving your performance, experience and enjoyment of the ancient art of Yoga.

All of our mats are made using 100% organic cork, which provides outstanding grip (especially when wet). It also further centres you with the natural practice of yoga, removing the need for the environmentally harmful materials most Yoga mats contain.
Now you can feel earthed, standing on something that actually grew from it!
The grippy undersides of the Yata Yoga Mats are either made from TPE or Natural Rubber (click here for more information about the types of materials usually used in Yoga mats). These materials are the stickiest around AND are both sustainable and environmentally kind

If like our founder, Skyler, you never enjoyed practicing on hard floors, you’ll appreciate that all mats are specifically constructed for comfort and ease of use. The rubber densities have been extensively experimented with to provide you with the optimum balance of pleasure and performance.
You won’t find any thin mats here either! We’d rather not save the money at your expense! All of our mats are AT LEAST 6mm thick which is why we say,
