2010 awarded ‘Best Newcomer’ Group by Coventry & Warwickshire Infrastructure Consortium

• Local people who are interested in art and craft. Currently 80+ members

• Led by an 8-strong committee

• Meet 1st Friday of each month

Art Alert is a "not for profit" Community Enterprise Group formed by local people for local people.Our steering group of professional artists, business people and representatives of local art groups are dedicated to promoting arts and crafts in Nuneaton, Bedworth and North Warwickshire.

Our gallery is now open every Wednesday, Friday & Saturday at 23e Abbey Street, Nuneaton (next to the Co-Op Arcade)

ESCAPE

Press Release: Escape Project- Operation Footfall

Art Alert gallery is now open 10-4pm each Weds, Fri & Sat, manned by Art Alert volunteers and featuring over 20 local artists. A changeover of artwork is happening for 14th Feb. Any local artists interested in being part of this project are invited to contact Corinne Davies on 07792053757 as the next changeover will be in a few months. Commissions from art sales support Escape Community Art & Craft group who meet each Thurs at their new workspace in New Century Way.
Escape Nuneaton have taken up the challenge of proving that using a vacant shop space for art and craft activities will increase footfall for Nuneaton Town centre. Members of the group held a workshop to create a name for the space and decided upon ‘Art Zone- Creative Space’- lookout for the signs soon.
