Ferschl Hose & Hydraulics Ltd was formed in 1971, initially supplying stainless steel flexible hoses to British Steel. The business flourished and new members of staff arrived bringing with them knowledge and experience of new products and markets.
Below is a short history of the company’s growth:
In 1978 the business was relocated to a terraced unit in Team Valley, Gateshead.
Northern Hose & Hydraulics was opened in Middlesbrough in 1982.
Ferschl Hose & Hydraulics moved in 1986 to its current purpose built factory on the Team Valley Trading Estate in Gateshead Tyne and Wear.
Cleveland Flexible Engineering was acquired by the group in 2001, manufacturing stainless steel flexible hoses with the added capability of stainless steel welding. This was a step back to Ferschl’s roots.
